Senior Network Engineer

The Senior Network Engineer will be in charge of building EGN’s network in the San Francisco Bay Area, New York City, Amsterdam and Hamburg, Germany by planning the additional infrastructure needed for EGN’s network build out.  The Senior Network Engineer will also be in charge of network build out beyond the above mentioned geographical locations into new U.S. and foreign markets. The Senior Network Engineer will be in charge of providing Tier 3 technical support to EGN’s customers, rolling out new server technologies and automation system that provide EGN with better efficiency.

The Senior Network Engineer will manage EGN’s core routers and switches at all current modes as well as manage EGN’s directly owned and leased IP space (IP allocations, SWIP). The Senior. Network Engineer will manage and maintain EGN’s BGP4 network and be responsible for the installation of new network hardware in various data centers. The Senior Network Engineer will manage and maintain EGN’s current server infrastructure (both customer side and EGN’s production server group), and will deploy new server, hardware and software technologies and new automation systems (streaming, signup).

Requirements:

- Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- At least 2 years’ experience in network administration and troubleshooting
- Proven experience in Brocade, Cisco network equipment management
- Proven experience in BGP routing.
- Strong problem solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills
- Previous work experience in data center / 24x7x365 ISP environment
- Team Player with willingness to help and explain things to others
- Good documentation and asset management skills

Shift:
M-F 8:00am-4:00pm; 40hrs/wk.;
